Suicide alert workshops

A crisis can happen to anyone. Participate in a safeTALK workshop and learn skills to save lives.

Lifeline Melbourne is pleased to offer suicide alert workshops, which can be delivered to organisations or groups.

safeTALK is a three-hour suicide alertness workshop that prepares anyone over the age of 16, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide alert helper.

Most people with thoughts of suicide don’t want to die but are struggling in their lives. Through their words and actions, they invite help to stay alive.

safeTALK-trained helpers can recognise these invitations and act by connecting them with life-saving intervention and resources.

safeTALK is an excellent tool for people who want to become alert to the dangers of suicide in a convenient timeframe.

Participants have a chance to practice their skills in the workshop. Each person will leave safeTALK with practical knowledge about how to identify someone at risk and link them to life-saving resources.

Each workshop will be delivered face to face by an experienced Lifeline Melbourne safeTALK facilitator. All applicable Government COVID-19 requirements will be strictly adhered to.
